Interested in stronger privacy laws? Please take our survey!

Washington Privacy Organizers is experimenting with using decentralized social networks like Mastodon and Bluesky as part of our advocacy for strong privay legislation in Washington state.  The initial results are promising — legislators told us they got a lot of mail before the February 14 committee vote on the People’s Privacy Act, which is great, and the committee voted 7-4 to advance the bill, which is even better!  Still, there’s a long way to go, and room for improvement.

We’d love to hear from you whether or not you’re in Washington state, whether or not you’ve been involved in our activism, and whether or not you’ve got an account on any of these social networks!  As well as questions about priorities and interest in participating in our ongoing campaign, it’s also got some retrospective questions about our activism so far. Feel free to fill it out anonymously if you want. If you do opt-in and provide contact information so that we can follow up with you, we will only use it for this purpose.

This poll is fairly long, but all the responses after the first one are optional!

Note: it might take the form a few seconds to load. If you have problems viewing or responding to the survey embedded on this page, here’s the direct link to the CryptPad survey. Or if you prefer, here’s a thread with Mastodon polls.
